I think you'll be fine. All the stories in it are short, so I don't think you'll have any problems with it.
That book sounds really good from what you've told me. Kinda sounds like its on the creepy side but I'm sure it's good.(:
It's not really creepy like a horror movie, it's just randomly killing stuff and glossing over it. I especially like the version of Cinderella.
You should blog about the book, I have never read it before and would be interested to read about parts of it.
